I cannot
believe that CRGroup will be celebrating its 25th anniversary in
2014! Yes, a lot of years have gone by –
each year bringing new accomplishments and continuing excitement.
And what a terrific
year 2013 has been; it ranks as a year of remarkable accomplishment for CRGroup.
We forged strategic partnerships, released innovative software and upgraded our
existing products, welcomed many great new clients, and participated in leading
industry events. We revitalized our solutions platform to cater to our widely
diversified client base and worked hard to get our team trained and certified
in these new solutions. We now have even deeper capabilities and offer technology
solutions that can be deployed both on premise and in the cloud.
In 2013, we entered into four significant strategic relationships:
- NetSuite – a fast growing company that provides a SaaS offering of cloud-based ERP and CRM
- Adaptive Planning – a SaaS offering of cloud-based planning and budgeting
- BOARD International – one of the most innovative companies that provides an on premise one-stop solution spanning strategy, metrics management, planning and budgeting and business intelligence
- KEMP Technologies – in order to provide much-needed load balancing solutions to our clients who are challenged with managing network traffic arising from an ever-growing use of bandwidth
- released version 4.4 of emPerform which includes integrated 360° review functionality along with other great feature enhancements,
- introduced two new products: Trend Miner for ground-breaking BI Visualization for Dynamics CRM and PA Tools for Dynamics GP Project Accounting,
- enhanced CRG Company Combiner for our Dynamics GP clients,
- enhanced FlexABM and Cost Allocator for our Activity-based Costing (ABC) and Shared Services clients, and
- developed (and are now ready to release) PM-Studio – a world class project management platform built on SharePoint 2013 that is targeted towards professional services firms.
Our community initiatives also reached a new level. The inaugural Transformational CXO Breakfast Seminar was a huge success. All present enjoyed the presentation by Steve Waszak, President and CEO of BTI Systems, (you can read my recap here) in the fall and we are now planning our second Breakfast Seminar which will take place in April of 2014 – stay tuned! On a local level we are also pleased to be an official sponsor of the National Capital Region’s chapter of Financial Executives Canada, Canada's preeminent association connecting financial executives through networking, knowledge exchange, advocacy and ethical leadership.
In October our annual Connections event took place in both Ottawa and Moncton. As always, attendees took away a vast amount of valuable material (you can review the presentations here.) Throughout the year we delivered a series of courses on Microsoft Business Solutions through CRG Academy and offered a host of webinars on various topics.
We launched a new, user-focused website in 2013, and we also expanded our geographic footprint. We now have CRGroup presence in Southern Ontario (Alexandra Psica in Toronto) and Western Canada (Chris Lythgo in Vancouver) to be closer to our clients in those regions. We are working on adding more strategic partners to leverage our solutions portfolio. We are thrilled about our content collaboration agreement with Gary Cokins who is an internationally recognized expert, speaker, and author in advanced cost management and performance improvement systems.
Our vision remains the same: To be our clients’ trusted go-to partner for breakthrough performance and growth.
We have and will continue to deliver on our mission: To deliver practical and cost effective solutions that exceed expectations, through thought leadership, innovation and technology.
This focus has made our clients successful and we are thankful that they have allowed us to participate in that success. I would also like to thank all of our affiliates and partners who give us a chance to help them help their clients with our solutions. Last but not least, thanks to our team which continues to win accolades from our customers for service, support, and product development.
